Try something new in your garden this fall

Typically in September I buy a pumpkin or two and a pot of chrysanthemums and plunk them down on my front stoop. And that’s that.

Worried how uninspired my front yard looks, I stopped by Johnson’s Florist and Garden Centers to see if I could scare up some new ideas. A salesperson I’ll call Nancy showed me annuals that can stand up to cool weather, even light frost.

Whether you have window boxes, pots or beds you can mix a variety of fall blooms with dazzling effects.
