Crock-Pot or Slow Cooker

I came to fully appreciate my slow cooker when we underwent a kitchen renovation last year, and I had to figure out a way to make dinner every night without a stove or oven. Enter my Crock-Pot, a countertop appliance that nearly nine out of 10 homes in America have. As long as I prepped dinner early in the day, I could have a cooked meal on the table every evening. What also helped was discovering the blog A Year of Slow Cooking, which shows you how to use a slow cooker to make everything from French toast to flan. Even celebrities love their slow cookers. Singer Trisha Yearwood recently shared with Redbook magazine how she uses her Crock-Pot to make chocolate candy.
