Two Rabbits on Yellow Chair

As you can see in Two RAbbits on Yellow Chair, Patricia Hansen's watercolor paintings and giclee prints fill your eyes with so much lush color and so many dazzling images that you feel you need to open them wider to take it all in. "I use a color pattern or palette that creates a whole movement," says Hansen, who works with the finest quality archival materials for the giclee (pronounced zhee-klay) prints of her watercolor paintings.

"Giclee is a digital printing process," explains Hansen, which is costly and time-consuming." Hansen generally sells these limited edition prints for under $1,000 (her original watercolors sell for several thousand dollars). I, for one, cannot distinguish between a giclee print and the original.

You can see more of Hansen's watercolors and giclee prints on her Website, which also enumerates where she has exhibited and awards she has received.

Lovely. This picture is reminiscent of Mary Cassatt with a touch of Margaret Wise Brown.
