During this transitional season, I worry the meals I serve will be either too wintry or too summery. So, with spring in the air, what better time to try out some aphrodisiac recipes? Just as there are "brain foods," many ingredients in these recipes contain elements believed to heighten the libido. Chocolate, for example, releases dopamine in the pleasure center of the brain.
Place baking sheet in oven set to 400 degrees. Butter 4 (2/3 to 1 cup size) ramekins. Melt 4 ounces of 60% semisweet chocolate and 1 stick of butter in a microwave. Hand-whisk 2 eggs, ¾ cups sugar and 3 Tbsp flour then beat in the cooled chocolate and butter mixture. Bake for 20 minutes until tops are cracked and chocolate underneath is gooey.
