There's a reason that Ronald Reagan was referred to as the jelly bean president: it's because he loved jelly beans and was known to have a constant stash of them in the Oval Office. According to a Delish.com story on presidents and their favorite foods, Ronald Reagan favored black licorice jelly beans. Why he didn't favor black licorice in its original shape is a mystery we may never solve.
